Professional Consulting
When you need to talk to a therapist,
but not for therapy
Beyond psychotherapy and public speaking, I deeply value the role of peer support, interdisciplinary dialogue, and collaboration. I believe the world is better when we lift one another up and bring our strengths together for the good of all. If you’re a mental health professional, organization leader, or faith leader, I would be honored to work with you as a consultant to support your professional or pastoral role. I tailor my consulting services to your unique needs, whether it’s psychoeducation, interpersonal skill development, strategic development, or case conceptualization.
Below is a general roadmap for working with me as a consultant:
Book your initial complimentary consultation call: Meet me, introduce yourself, and define the scope of our work (Google Calendar).
By the end of the first meeting: Identify your options and ability to invest in recurring consulting services. Accommodations for those in financial need (e.g. adjusted rates, establishing a consultation group of 3-5 individuals) will be made on a case-by-case basis.
Second meeting: Define our consulting agreement. Analyze your areas of concern and define your vision in greater depth.
By the end of the second meeting: Determine a long-term implementation plan to support your goals. Schedule follow-up meetings.
Consultation Areas
Pastoral Consultation
For clergy and faith leaders who are called to attend to the wellbeing of the whole person in their unique journey of faith, you will inevitably encounter mental, emotional, and relational health concerns within your flock. Although you are equipped to respond to these needs through the lens of your spiritual and theological training, regularly consulting on issues of pastoral care with a therapist can enrich your compassionate and ethical engagement with parishioners’ mental and relational health concerns.
Clinical Consultation
For mental health professionals who are fully licensed and working independently, ongoing peer consultation can be invaluable for enhancing the quality of your professional care. Retaining a trusted clinician with whom you can seek a second opinion for case conceptualization, clinical interventions, or treatment planning is especially beneficial when serving special populations such as immigrants, multicultural individuals or families, survivors of trauma, Indians or South Asians, Christians or Orthodox Christians.
Ministry Consultation
For ministry organizations that serve many individuals with diverse backgrounds, it can be challenging to develop ministry initiatives that accommodate mental health needs at a community level. Your heart for service and your vision to uplift your community can be edified through a strategic awareness of interpersonal dynamics, mental and spiritual wellbeing, and community wellness.
Business Consultation
For private practice owners or prospective clinicians/practice owners who are simultaneously defining their work while actively doing the work, having a patient and successful business owner in your corner can be exactly the type of mentorship you need to develop your vision. Your business journey and brand is entirely yours to own, but you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
